Stained glasses simply refer to coloured glasses. They are manufactured using different mineral elements and oxides during the manufacturing process. Copper oxides are often used to produces ruby, blue, or green colors. Cobalt is used for most shades of blue. Chromium and iron oxides are used for green shades. Ruby color can be made by adding gold and golden coloured glass can be made with uranium, cadmium sulfide, or titanium.
